Entrance exam for PhD after Post Graduation 

1. CSIR UGC NET

csir ugc net exam is conducted by NTA under UGC (University Grants Commission) and it provides JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) and Lecturer-ship.

Exam can be done in the following subjects/Categories 

1 Chemical Sciences 

2 Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences 

3 Life Sciences 

4 Mathematical Sciences 

5 Physical Sciences 

Selection Procedure

Based on the Merit list of NET score and interview.

Selected JRF candidates get stipend 31000 for 2 years then 35000 for 3 years.

Those can be vary according to university regulations.

2. BET EXAM

Biotechnology eligibility test conducted by

NTA under Department of Biotechnology (DBT)

Exam for DBT-JRF and PhD Programme.

3. GATE

Exam will Provide addmission to M.Sc and MTech. 

Direct PhD after BE/BTech/M.Sc Equivalent valid Gate Score 

Financial Asisstance given for Ph.D. Programmes is Rs. 31,000 per month for first two years and Rs. 35,000 per month from third year to fifth year.

4. TIFR GS EXAM

Tata Institute of Fundamental research conduct exam yearly once. It offers PhD and integrated M.Sc programmes in of natural sciences

Selection Procedure

Only 1.5 percent of topper in exam are selected.

Stipend for PhD student

31000 rs for 2 years

35000 rs for 3 years
